The day after – Boxing Day

union-suitI prefer boxers – hence Boxing day, here in Canada.  It’s a day for clergy to sit comatose in their skivvies, after a hard week.

The worship was grand – beautiful singing – lovely candles.  The communion on Christmas Day was so quiet and moving.  Next year – communion on Christmas Eve.   (Maybe not, but I’ll try.)  It would be a good time for families to commune together, to receive Jesus as He comes to us at the table, while reflecting on the manger.

My favourite Christmas song is “Mother Mary” – the one I played in the car to and from church these days… well,  here it is.  It’s a free – or pay if you want – download of the original Christmas song, by the Daredevil Christopher Wright.   Two of my sister’s boys, Jon and Jason, and their friend Jessie on drums make up the band.  Finding themselves on some Best Of lists…

A peaceful hook and drone and some tight harmonies, with simple words.

We’ll get ‘em to come play Winnipeg sometime.

Peace – Pastor Peter

It is a simple, striking song. Catches the ear. I hope the guys can come to Wpg too.

I’m praying for your Sunday morning opportunities this day. (Just help him, Jesus! Speak what is True, brother.) B

    Amen, sister!
